Notes about this service:
- Please submit your request at least two weeks before your event.
- Upon submission of your request, you will receive an automated e-mail response. This response does not guarantee service. Classroom Services will continue to assign operators up to 24 hours before the requested date of your event in order to provide the most comprehensive coverage possible.
- Scheduling is prioritized based on factors such as date and complexity of request, availability of staff, and physical disabilities, among others.
- “Confirmations of staff availability” are delivered via Pitt email. If you receive a “No Staff Available” notice, Classroom Services offers several other options to ensure that you will have the necessary technology for your class.
Content Retention Policy:
The University Center for Teaching and Learning (the Teaching Center) is responsible for capturing video at the client’s request. However, the Teaching Center does not own the rights to the resulting content. As the client, you are responsible to archive your own content if you wish to retain it. Please note that the Teaching Center does NOT archive the client’s captured content.
All content recorded by the Teaching Center for clients is subject to the University’s intellectual copyright policies.
Instructions for Archiving Video Content:
Content captured by the Teaching Center is hosted on My Pitt Video. The client may archive their content by following these instructions. To enable content archiving, the Teaching Center will provide creator account permissions upon request by the client. In the event that My Pitt Video is discontinued as Pitt’s enterprise content capture application, any content that has not been archived may be lost.
